Cheryl Rushen's Birthday Bash By The Lake

4/24/09. Tonight's adventure took me to Pell City for Cheryl Rushen's 50th Birthday Party. Out of all the events I get to do, these parties are always my favorite. The reason being because these are always filled with friends and family coming together to celebrate the life of another person, which usually leads to a throw down. Everyone had a lot of fun, so much that they kept an hour overtime just so that the party didn't have to end. I couldn't have asked for a better time or a better group of people to do a show for. Happy Birthday Cheryl and thank you so much!!!

Mt. Brook Junior High Travel Party

4/23/09. Tonight I shot on down to Park Lane in Mt. Brook's English Village to do Mt. Brook Junior High's 9th grade end of year bash. This year they did a travel theme to represent the kids moving on to high school. There was a lot of energy in this place tonight as we had about 150 kids getting down. The moved and shaked and spun around like crazy all night. They had a great time and so did I. Go Spartans!! Hope most of you stay out of lockers when you get to the next level. Check out my video.

Benjamin Russell High School Prom

4/18/09. Tonight E.Rock and I headed an hour south to Alexander City and Benjamin Russell High School for another Prom installment for this season. Tonight we set up our light show and two screens for this bad boy. In fact they wanted the works, including the confetti cannon. We had a lot of fun entertaining these kids. It also helped when the school gave us $1000 in cash to give away! This is one the proms I get to do that makes me jealous of these kids today. Rock on! Go Wildcats!

Overlook at Homewood Block Party

4/17/09. Today I had an early event over at the Overlook at Homewood. This was a neighborhood block party type event where the staff gave back to their residents by providing entertainment(like me of coarse), games, food, and plenty of prizes. Today I took the Feel The Beat cash machine with me to give residents chances to win cash and money off of their rent(just as good as money). I snagged some video so check out the cash machine in action!

Madison, Morgan & John's B-Day Bash

4/16/09. Tonight I shot over to Riverchase Country Club to throw a Birthday Bash for about 100 high energy kids. This was a combination of Madison, Morgan and John's Birthdays(No Relation). We had a real good time and their parents couldn't have been any happier. Thanks kids and to Ty and the wonderful staff over at Riverchase CC. It's always a pleasure.

Spain Park High School Prom

4/10/09. Tonight we were a little closer to home as E.Rock and I scooted on down to SoHo for Spain Parks Prom. The school had rented out all of Rosewood hall for 600 students to get down in. We went all out on the lighting and uplighting just so this prom would be one to remember. These kids were very receptive to everything I told them to do and they got down all night. We pretty much had to run them out of their at 11:00. It was great to be working with the good people at Rosewood Hall again and it was also great to perform yet again for Spain Park (Check out the Video). Go Jags!

Marion County High School Prom

4/9/9. Tonight J.Poe and I headed 2 hours north to Guin, AL for Marion County High Schools Prom. This was a very small school with only about 30 students in attendance, but no matter. These kids were seriously awesome. They Partied enough for 600 kids on this night. They were very interactive and we got some awesome video. Just check this stuff out.

Spanish Fort High School Prom

4/4/09. Today it was back down south 4 hours to the Fairhope Civic Center again, but this week was Spanish Fort's Prom. Today I was all by myself to do the load in, setup, break down and load out. It's a huge undertaking but one I can do all by my lonesome. This week we did screens and video, so I had to do all the grunt work, DJ, run the video switcher and video tape. That's a lot for just one guy, but I handled it superbly. The kids had a great time, I had a great time, the teachers had a great time. So all in all, this event was a great success (just check out the footage). Go Toros!!!

Karaoke @ Papa Saia's

4/1/09. April fools day. And it was a perfect April fools day at Papa Saia's with Karaoke. Another great turn out. We also had a couple of special guests show up. Danny Brewer, president of Feel The Beat and DJ Fuzzy graced us with their presence and Fuzzy even taught us a new dance: The Down South Shuffle. Besides that we had a lot of fun and enjoyed the great beer specials. See you guys next week.
